Prey animals aren’t supposed to want to die. They’re not supposed to bare their throats, draw their own blood, or provoke the eyes watching behind the crosshairs. dustBunny is an object of desire, whether she likes it or not. If her watchers love the chase, her rebellion is submission. If they want to touch her skin, she flays herself for them to watch in horror. She is a monkey's paw of desire. dustBunny lives in a space between seduction, terror, and optimism that there's more light than the red lasers searching for her.
dustBunny (AKA Aster La Fontaine) is a Toronto-born, Montreal-based electronic musician, singer, and instrumentalist. They began their journey in Glasgow in 2020, initially crafting a sweet, glittery, and somewhat naive sound inspired by soft comedowns, sunrises, and feelings of rebirth. Over time, their sound evolved into something darker, trading fragility for intensity. Today, their sonic palette is closer to ransom letters than love notes.
Their live shows often blend live vocals, harp, and real-time production and sound design. They've shared stages with artists such as TDJ, Snow Strippers, KAVARI, Petal Supply, Umru, and Galen Tipton across North America and Europe.
